We had a blast at this awesome event! HANA of Maryland members and friends had a great time at the InfoZorb Annual Fitness, Health and Wellness Expo event on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Albert Einstein High School from 10am-4pm.
Our exhibit booth had information about Zika, dengue, West Nile Virus, chikungunya and original brochures and peer-reviewed publication from our President, Dr. Gettie Audain on prevention and awareness of mosquito-borne viruses. We shared with the local community our work as an organization of members working to promote public health leadership, service, and social justice for better immigrant community health opportunities.
There was dancing exercises from 8 Count Dance, healthy products vendors for women’s health such as Nspirenetwork.com presented by Tracy Smith, very informative presentations by a local GYN MD, natural healing talk on Lotus Health and Healing from a natural health pharmacist, Dr. Pia Puatrakul, PharmD and networking with For Profit organizations like LifeSavers Healthcare Services LLC, who provide quality compassionate care to individuals in their home and facilities.
We had a raffle winner of our $25 gift card to Carrabba’s Italian Grill the Co-creator of InforZorb’s mom Mrs. Yvonne Taylor! We want to thank our guest volunteers Cindy Eugene and Marlene Peters Lawrence and our devoted members Erik Pierce, Camelia Sigineau, Tessa Brown and Gettie Audain for serving at the booth and making our event so successful.
See our pics of all our attendees who worked at the both and the other vendors. Hope to see you there next year!
